Life changing days...
I believe most people meet up with life changing days even if they don't recognize it as such at the time it happens. Sometimes you know it instantly or at least right away. A major accident, serious injury, loss of loved one or even the loss of a job you love normally would be a life changing event. It can be anything that causes us to change directions in life. Some life changing days are recognized right away as being a good day. In fact, it could even be a wonderful day when you meet your soul mate, win the lottery, birth a child or get a career building job. When you meet up with your life changing day, and you choose a different path from the one you have been walking, you will never know what was waiting had you stayed on the one you left or if you had chosen yet another than the one you chose. For most of us anyway, we don't get a chance to back up and make a different decision if we find we don't like the outcome of the one we made. We live with our choices in life, and the results of those weave into a lifetime filled with joy, sorrows, successes and failures. When we grow older and look back through the pages of the years, we can't see the outcome of the unchosen roads. What we think may have been a better choice could have resulted in unhappiness or even tragic circumstances. Most of us, therefore, go forward...forever marching toward the end of the road accepting and tolerating the outcome of our selections, while some change courses again and walk into an unpredictable and unknown future pursuing their final destination. Personally, I changed courses over and over resulting in at least four distinctly differing lifestyles, income levels and experiences. Within each one of those lifestyles, I made choices which impacted me and my ultimate destination. The most important thing for all of us to remember as we pass through life is that we do have choices. Even those in captivity can choose how to handle their dire circumstances. Those choices will always impact one's immediate situation as well as their future.
